⁴² The descendants of Caleb (Jerahmeel’s brother) were his firstborn son Mesha, who first settled Ziph, and the sons of Mareshah, who first settled Hebron. ⁴³ Hebron’s sons were Korah, Tappuah, Rekem, and Shema. ⁴⁴ Shema was the father of Raham, who first settled Jorkeam. Rekem was the father of Shammai.
